    Adolescent Addiction Partial HospitalizationThe Adolescent MICA full day program is typically for teens who have been assessed as being unable to be maintained in their schools, with significant substance use levels and histories, and who may have significant behavioral problems. The program supports a return to the communities with support and continuity and can also help prevent hospitalization by stabilizing behaviors.     Adolescent Partial CareThe Acute Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (AAPHP) is a program for youth in need of structured psychiatric day treatment services. The program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at our Piscataway campus. AAPHP serves youth ages 12-17 who are experiencing serious emotional and behavioral problems which negatively affect the teen's ) ability to function at home, at school or in the community. Adolescents who are returning to the community after hospitalization or who are at risk for hospitalization are typical candidates for admission. The average length of stay is typically one to two weeks. Many of the youth we serve are coping with emotional, social and behavioral health problems such as mood swings or depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, thought disorders and psychosis, impulsivity, aggression and anger, hyperactivity and inattention, suicidal thoughts or attempts and other behaviors which pose a risk to themselves or others. Our treating teams consist of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, licensed, registered and advance practice nurses, master's level therapists, social workers and art therapists, mental health specialists and activities assistants. Our goal is to help youth and families get through these challenging crises and return to their communities. We will do everything we can to make this a brief, healing and positive experience for you and your loved ones.     Adolescent Partial HospitalOur Adolescent Partial Hospital Program (ages 13 to 17) at Inspira Medical Center Woodbury offers comprehensive treatment for teens who suffer from a wide range of behavioral health disorders. The newly constructed unit provides a warm and inspiring environment in which patients receive individual, group and family counseling, as well as classroom education, facilitated by a team of staff, teachers, a therapist and psychiatrist.     Adolescent Partial HospitalThe Adolescent PHP is designed for adolescents ages of 12 to 17 (18 year olds may attend if still in high school) dealing with mental health and emotional issues. Each adolescent receives a psychiatric evaluation and clinical assessment. The Adolescent PHP utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of a psychiatrist, advanced practice nurse, licensed therapists and other mental health professionals. Adolescents participate in psycho-educational groups and learn to develop positive coping and communication skills, conflict resolution skills and anger management skills, and receive alcohol and drug abuse education. Hampton’s medical staff provides medication management. A certified teacher is also available to ensure that patients remain current with school assignments. An individualized treatment plan, discharge plan and social support network are created for each individual’s unique needs. The Adolescent PHP is provided Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at the main campus in Westampton with tutoring offered from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Transportation can be provided within local communities.     Child/Adolescent After School Partial CareCircle of Friends is an afterschool group program for children ages 7-12 years old who have been identified by family, school or other community providers as experiencing serious difficulties at home, in school, or in other community settings. The goal is to help these children overcome the problems that have interfered with their ability to function appropriately and to avoid out- of-home placements. Children and their families participate -- up to 18 hours per week -- afterschool and on Saturdays, typically for between 3-6 months. There is no charge to families for this service.     Child/Adolescent Outpatient-For KeepsSaint Peter’s University Hospital's For KEEPS program (Kids Embraced and Empowered through Psychological Services) is an acute partial-hospitalization short-term-stay unit for children ages 5 through 17. These children, who do not require 24-hour inpatient care, cannot be managed by outpatient care alone. Outpatient Department offers consumers traditional services such as initial evaluation and treatment plans including therapy and medication management.     Child/Adolescent Partial CareThe Half Day Partial Hospital Program provides an intensive milieu for youth between the ages of 9-17. Transportation is provided for parts of Union County. Dinner is provided. The Half Day Partial Hospital Program is typically used to help children and adolescents stabilize their behaviors while enrolled in school as to not interrupt their routine. The Half Day Partial Hospital Program can also be used as a step -down from Full Day Partial Hospital Program to help continue support for the child and their family once they return to school.     Child/Adolescent Partial CareIMANI Children's Partial Care is a community-based, partial care program for Camden County boys and girls age 13-17 designed to prevent out of home placement. IMANI is a structured program designed to support and encourage youth experiencing emotional and behavorial challenges and their families. Services offered at IMANI include multidisciplinary approached designed to promote positive youth development including but not limited to: •Individual, group, and family counseling •Goal setting and motivation for learning •Team building and peer relations •Life skills training •Substance abuse prevention and education •Conflict resolution •Psychiatric consultation and medication monitoring Youth who attend school in the community will be supported in doing so through transportation to IMANI after school. IMANI is a less restrictive environment than a residential treatment program, but more restrictive than traditional outpatient services. The program specializes in providing support to youth to promote higher levels of self respect and respect for others. The educational component meets all state requirements for out of school instruction and is typically two hours per day. At present the full day program is offered exclusively to children in the kindergarten to third grade range of educational placement. The clinical services for both the full and half day components include individual and family therapy with a primary clinician (social worker or psychologist), and group therapy by age group. Daily milieu activities are led by mental health specialists. Within the context of a behavior modification program, children have opportunities to develop social and adaptive skills, while stabilizing acute symptoms. All children are examined psychiatrically prior to admission to the program, and are followed by a psychiatrist regularly throughout their course in the program. Referrals to the Challenge Program are made by professionals by calling the Access Center (1-800-969-5300). Children may also be referred to the Challenge Program from Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services, by consulting with the child's primary therapist.
