Adult Addiction Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services Female w/ChildrenGraduates of Epiphany House have been remarkably successful in maintaining a drug-free lifestyle. Since 1989 when we first opened, 70 percent of all graduates have remained drug-free, in permanent housing, employed or in training, and without new encounters with the law or child protective services. We are convinced that such success results from a comprehensive approach that addresses the issues of poverty, abuse and homelessness which, if left untreated, contribute to relapse. From referral through "graduation", women at Epiphany House are encouraged to become active participants in their own recovery. This process begins with a plan for progress which they and the staff develop together. This plan is then put into action through therapy, education, and practice. Vocational development and employment are necessary and practical for a resident's livelihood. Assistance in locating housing resources is provided as well, and a formal aftercare plan is developed for each resident prior to the time of discharge.
