Abuse Ceases TodayThe ACT program is a group program for men who have been abusive in the Morris County area. It consists of counseling and education aimed to help abusers examine their attitudes and behaviors and find alternatives to violent behavior. Experienced counselors staff the program, which follows a nationally recognized curriculum. The ACT program is designed to improve the health of the client’s relationships, stop the inter-generational cycle of abuse within families, foster a more nurturing home environment, and empower men to move forward in their lives in a productive way, without needing to be watchful or controlling. In addition to our standard groups, we also have a program for younger men that have exhibited abusive behaviors in their relationships. Sessions are flexible to fit with varying schedules, and, if needed, we provide a sliding fee structure. Participants in the ACT program come from many walks of life, but have one thing in common—abusive behavior. Some may abuse daily and others only once every year or two, but each can benefit greatly from the program. Morris CountyOutpatient CounselingJersey Battered Women's Service, Inc
