Prevents at-risk youth from entering the court system by providing crisis intervention services twenty-four hours per day/seven days per week.
This program is open to families with an acting-out youth between the ages of eleven and seventeen who are not under the supervision of either DYFS or the Morristown County Probation Department. Sessions are primarily provided at the FIS office in Morristown. Home visits and outreach sessions are available on a needed basis.
Criteria for referral:
1. Parent/child conflict.
2. Truancy and other school-related problems.
3. family/youth substance abuse problems.
4. Recovered runaway who is unwilling to go home.
Referral Sources: Any family or community provider.
