General Information
Description of ServiceThe PALS Program, a joint program of the New Jersey Association on Correction�s Passaic County Women�s Center and the Jewish Family Service Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Clifton-Passaic, is designed to assist the primary and secondary victims of the crime of domestic violence � mothers and children � in understanding the dynamics of victimization and ameliorating the long-term effects of victimization on the children.

Services will be provided to children age 2 through 18 who have resided in a domestic violence shelter or have been identified in outpatient treatment and community outreach settings as witnesses to or victims of domestic violence.

Services include Assessment, Engagement, Intervention, Outreach and Utilization of resources � a comprehensive assessment and treatment program using case management, art and play therapy and psychiatric consultation.

ASAM level 1
Less than 9 hours of service/week(adults); less than 6 hours/week (adolescents) for recovery or motivational enhancement therapies/strategies.
