General Information
Description of ServiceProject Sustain has been expanded to also include women who are mentally ill chemically addicted (MICA). Women who have substance abuse problems have a high incidence of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, which can contribute to the development of psychological disorders. The staff of the YWCA EUC are well trained to help the women in Project Sustain in their recovery from addiction, in facing their issues related to domestic violence, and in stabilizing their mental health.

In addition to receiving shelter for themselves and their children, Project Sustain participants receive counseling, case management, child care, education, parenting and life skill instruction, art therapy, and other supportive services as needed.
