Description of ServiceIn 1999, Anchor House and the Trenton Police Department collaborated on a project to place an Anchor House runaway specialist within the unit to assist the police in decreasing the number of runaways in the
city and handle family and youth crisis that turn to police for assistance. In the last year, there were 1, 196 contacts made. 84% of the cases worked on by the Anchor House runaway specialist did not repeat a runaway incident.
