Description of ServiceThe Salvation Army's HOPWA Program operates in connection with our HIV/AIDS program services. This program provides short-term rental and emergency utility assistance. In addition, our Housing Information Specialist provides services to prevent homelessness and meet the housing needs of low-income persons with HIV/AIDS. This program complements the work of the HIV/AIDS Case Managers by providing housing information, referral services, emergency assistance, counseling, life skills training, and follow-up services.
