Families Matter

Community Based Program

General Information
Description of ServiceThe purpose of the Family Matters Program is to provide services to families and juveniles in Burlington County who are in the detention center or who have previously been in the detention center and are at risk of being placed out of the home. The program will also provide services to juveniles on probation or pre-adjudicated juveniles. The Program specifically addresses the problem areas of personality/behavior, peer relations, family circumstances/parenting, education, substance abuse, and vocational skills/employment.

Services will be offered mainly in the family's home where the therapist will be better able to discover the family’s needs and strengths. The family's home is also a more comfortable and convenient meeting place, which will allow the therapist to engage the family much faster then traditional outpatient therapy.
