Short Term Care Facility

General Information
Description of ServiceOpened in 2005, the State Designated Short Term Care Facility (STCF) was part of a state-of-the-art, 25,000 square foot addition to our existing facility. It is a 21-bed, adult, acute care psychiatric unit designated by the State of New Jersey’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services as a specialized setting in which persons with acute psychiatric or dual disorders are treated with compassion and dignity when they meet the State standard for involuntary hospitalization. Every effort is made to stabilize the patient’s condition and to return him/her to community support as soon as possible. Similar to our voluntary treatment programs, services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals who seek to optimize treatment outcomes through evidence-based practice with a focus on patient dignity, compassion and recovery.
