SafeHarbor Program

SafeHarbor Program

General Information
Description of ServiceAdolescence is a difficult time for most people. Youth who are emotionally disturbed often exhibit behaviors which cause problems in the home, school and community. Some teens can become so troubled that they require hospitalization, incarceration or residential treatment. In many cases, these placements are unnecessary, expensive and destructive.

The most effective way to teach youth how to deal with the pressures of community life is to support and mentor them through the challenges they face. SafeHarbor provides therapeutic services to young people and their families. The goal is to help each individual attain his or her highest level of functioning within the community.
