General Information
Description of ProgramSelf-Help groups and centers can be described as providing mutual aid self-help because they derive their energy from members helping one another. Self-help groups and centers are composed of peers (people who share a similar experience or situation) and are primarily run by and for its members. Self-help groups and centers provide a safe place for consumers to gather for socialization, emotional support, self-help, advocacy, and education.
